Cami's Big Day

Cami turned one on Sunday and we spent the entire day celebrating! Cami woke up to balloons...a family tradition that my parents started and that we have been doing with Brayden and now Cami. Although Ben and I do get quite lightheaded the night before, it is so worth the look on the kiddos face when the wake up to a sea of balloons. We quickly ate breakfast and then we were off to the aquarium. Cami got to ride down facing forward and she loved the fact that she could watch Elmo with her brother!
The aquarium was tons of fun with only one hitch...no strollers allowed! We checked our stroller and were loaned a backpack carrier for Cami. It did work out for everyone but me! I had to carry the diaper bag loaded with sippy cups, diapers, snacks through the whole museum. Let's just say that my shoulder and neck were very sore...if I had known about the whole no stroller policy, I would have packed a back pack!
Brayden loved seeing all the fish but he was a little scared of the sharks, even though that was what he was the most excited to see! Cami liked to bang on the glass...she is such a rule breaker! Both kiddos liked the dolphin show and it was a nice break from my diaper bag :)
After the aquarium, we had lunch at Hard Rock Cafe. I was a little disappointed because they didn't sing to Cami and didn't even have any candles for her brownie sundae...don't worry, she didn't eat all by herself, we are teaching her to share!
The kiddos napped on the ride home. Mum and Papa came over to celebrate both Cami and Papa's birthday...they share a birthday. We bought them a yummy cake. Cami really enjoyed the icing!
Cami had a busy, busy birthday but the celebrating doesn't stop...her family and friends party is coming up this weekend. So it's more cake and presents for our little princess!

Oh, I wish we had talked before you left. We had the same experience about the stroller so I would have warned you. At least you had fun!
